Prince Rupert Golf Course to sneak in one more tournament before season's end

The Duffers will not have the last bragging rights after all for Prince Rupert's golf scene for 2018, as there will be one more opportunity to make a majestic drive or pressure putt before the fall rains arrive.

The quartet of Bart Kuntz, Dylan Lawrence, Ian Robinson and Mike Ikari captured the honours on Saturday with a Net 53.58,

The top group from the weekend edged out the foursome of Joe Thopnson, Shane Forman, Frank Repole and Andrew Scaheffer who came into the club house with a Net of 53.88.

And while the winners enjoy their success from the Final Men's Day scramble on Saturday, plans are in set for the return of the popular Tombstone Event.

The season ending tourney takes place this Saturday, with a Thirty dollar entry fee that includes lunch and prizes.

The Tombstone comes with its own set of rules which include:

Taking your handicap and add it to the par, and that is how many strokes you get where ever the ball land, is where you mark your spot.

By way of example, Prince Rupert Golf Course green side analyst Doug Kydd explains further

(a 12 handicap + 70 = 82 shots, where ever the 82 shot lands...mark it down on your scorecard and report it to the pro shop)

The tournament prizing structure will be base on how many people are entered in the competition, the more that sign up , the more prizes that will be handed out.

To put your name on the Tombstone, contact the Prince Rupert Golf Cub at 250-624-2000.

Club members can also find a list of Ladder board qualifiers from the 2018 season and the list of winners of the Pro Shop Vouchers at the course club house.
