Highway 16 remains reduced to one lane, alternating travel near Shames Mountain
Traffic remains reduced to one lane at the location of Sunday morning's rock slide along Highway 16 with Drive BC advising travellers that motorists should be aware of the alternating traffic provisions until further notice.
As we noted on the blog on Sunday, the incident took place ten kilometres west of Terrace not far from the Shames Mountain turn off.
As a result of the slide, travellers were faced with a highway closure while crews worked to assist a vehicle that had been impacted by the slide and to begin the process of removing the slide debris.
You can access the latest updates on the situation from the Drive BC website and twitter feed.
