Minor Softball registration underway for 2019 season
Spring is less than one month away (March 20th for those looking to mark up a calendar) and that means that it won't be long before the crack of bats and the sound of ball hitting leather is heard at ball fields across the city.
One of Prince Rupert's popular spring time past times is currently accepting registration for the 2019 season, as the Prince Rupert Minor Softball Association prepares to take to the field this April.
The Season which runs from April to June features divisions from Under 6 to Under 19.
Registration fees for those in the U6, U8 and U10 division are set at 50 dollars per player
For those playing in U12, U14, U16 and U18 the fees are 100 dollars per player.
Those with a limited income can learn more about the KidSport program which helps to reduce the cost for youngsters to play sports.
The Association hosted its first Registration session on February 20th.
Four more opportunities to sign up will be available starting with a four hour session tomorrow in the Raven Room of the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
The remaining registrations take place on March 2nd at the Children's Festival, as well as March 13 and April 10, all of the registration opportunities are at the Civic Centre complex.
You can find out more about the league from their Facebook page or contact Dan Lorette at 250-600-2465
