Dig out your Golf Clubs Golfers, the Prince Rupert Golf Course is set to open this Friday afternoon (photo from PRGC website) |
If Prince Rupert's golfers have been gazing up in the sky of late at our most impressive debut of Spring they probably have felt some sudden twitches of the fore arms and made some imaginary swings of a club ... and for them the news today is very good, as the Prince Rupert Golf Course prepares to open the links for the new season.
The first tee time for 2019 is set for Friday, March 22 at 1 PM, with the pins set to be put in place and regular greens ready for play.
The gentle roll out to the new season will continue on the weekend with the opening tee times set for 10 AM both Saturday and Sunday and for the foreseeable future.
The Course maintenance team do warn however that there is the possibility of frost delays at this time of the year and to be aware of that as you make your golfing plans.
For those that want to shake off some of the rust of an off season, the driving range is now Open allowing for golfers to develop the kind of rhythm that will deliver tournament victories later in the year.

Those that drop into the Club House over the weekend can also introduce themselves to the new club Pro Tyler Stene who has joined the Prince Rupert Golf Club and is already settled into his new work in the city.
You can find out some details on the rates for instruction from the Prince Rupert Golf Club website.
