Sounds of Soul to shake the Lester Centre Friday night
The musical stylings of the Motown era will make for part of an evening of music at the Lester Centre tomorrow night as Luke McMaster takes to the stage for a few hours of well known standards and original material from his latest work Icons of Soul.
The most recent of his music comes by its Motown roots with a passion, thanks to a collaborations with Lamont Dozier one of the legendary stories of the Motown era, along with Felix Cavaliere of the Rascals who kept music fans groovin' on a Sunday Afternoon, or any other day through the years.
His latest work with Dozier will actually debut on streaming services on the same day as his Prince Rupert appearance so expect to hear a few words on the process of working with one of the legends of the music industry.
McMaster is an award winning musician who counts a number of albums and EP's among his repertoire many of them infused with the music that put Detroit on the map and from which the Toronto based singer has been a life long devotee of.
