Prince Rupert Minor Basketball sets AGM for May 27th
We may be in the early days of soccer and softball season on the North Coast, but for one of the city's most popular fall sports, the planning for the 2019 season gets underway later this month.
The Prince Rupert Minor Basketball Association is hosting its Annual General Meeting on May 27th from 7 to 8:30 in the Training Room upstairs at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
The meeting offers the opportunity to learn more about what the PRMBA offers youth in the community and to become involved in the many volunteer positions that help to keep the sport thriving on the local scene.
In some other local basketball news, planning continues for the Summer Camp at the Civic Centre this July with ND42 Basketball Camps set to come to town for a three day Basketball camp from July 2 to 4.
There are discounts available for those who register before June 8th.
Find out more about the summer camp here.
And with Seafest fast approaching, the PRMBA is reminding players of the annual 3 on 3 tournament normally one of the sports highlights of Prince Rupert's prelude to summer festival.
Last years tournament had to be cancelled owing to a lack of entries, so organizers are hoping to get players lined up before the Seafest activities get underway on June 7th.
You can find out more about this years plans here and submit your team registration information at Good Times Games on Second Avenue West.
