Calling all Seniors to the Highliner Plaza Hotel June 7th |
The annual event which makes for the launch for the three days of Seafest Weekend celebrates the lives of those who have helped to build the community as well as serves as a welcome those who may be visiting the North Coast.
Organized by the Prince Rupert Special Events Society and sponsored by the City of Prince Rupert it makes for one of the most popular of the Seafest events each year.
All 75/50 Club members (Seventy Five years of Age and having lived in Prince Rupert for Fifty years) are invited as well as visiting Seniors, with plaques to be presented to those newest members of the 75/50.
If you or someone you know qualifies for membership in the 75/50 Club you are asked to contact the Mayor's Executive Assistant, Brianne Bunko at 250-627-0939.
General Admission for the June 7th Seniors Tea is four dollars.
Seafest takes place from June 7 to 9 with events scheduled for the downtown area on Saturday and the Rotary Waterfront Park on the Sunday, this years theme for the annual event is "Happy Pirates of the Pacific"
