Fire Fighters Scramble one week away
It's one of the most popular dates on the local golfing calendar, as Prince Rupert's duffers and semi pros alike take to the course in aid of the BC Burn Fund.
The Prince Rupert Firefighter's Scramble is set for Saturday July 20th, with a 90 dollar per player entry fee and range of prizes to put some extra zip into your drives and bit more concentration on those putts.
The tournament will get underway with a Shotgun start at 10 AM as the teams of four take to the eighteen holes of the Prince Rupert Centennial Golf Course.
Dinner is included in your entry fee and among the big ticket prizes for the day are an automobile from McCarthy GM and a 10,000 dollar diamond from Cook's Jewellers.
For those that need a break along the tour of the eighteen holes there will be beverages and hot dogs available at two locations on the course.
Registration for available tee times continues through the week ahead, though spots are filling fast as are the reservations for the power carts, so the sooner you register the less chance there is for disappointment.
If you're a single player in search of a team call the pro shop and provide your name and contact information and the Pro Shop staff and organizers of the tournament will try to match you up with a foursome on the day.
You can contact the Pro Shop at 250-624-2000
