Submissions sought from Film makers, Photographers for Skeena Wild Film Festival competition
Northwest Photographers and film makers have until October to comb through their work, or create something new for submission to the Skeena Wild Film Festival for 2019, with Seven categories available to put your artistic expression to work.
The Photography component includes such categories as Wild People, Wild Places, Wild Things and a Youth program for those 16 and under
For Film, you can create a short film, under ten minutes; or a Feature Film which must be longer than 10 minutes in length.
There is also a film category for those 16 and under.
The projects to be submitted will see the judges making use of the following criteria: Best Skeena, Best Story and Best Action
The film or photography work should be focused on amateur projects, and participants should know that those who create the selected films and images will be required to grant the Skeena Wild Film Festival the rights to use their work for Conservation Trust promotional purposes.
Cash prizes, Gifts and SkeenaWild Gear are all part of the prize structure for the successful projects.
Once the judges have made their decisions, the SkeenaWild Festival will hit the road, with stops to come this Fall in Terrace, Kitimat, Smithers and Kispiox among the destinations so far listed in the Northern Tour.
Organizers note that if you want to bring the festival to your community you can contact them at the Terrace offices.
The deadline for submissions to the Film and Photo competition is October 1st
