A pair of fires on the east side of the city kept Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue busy over the last three days, with a residential fire and a commercial site blaze listed among their travels.
An early Friday morning fire on the 24th saw crews respond to a structure fire on 8th Avenue East behind Henry's B-Y market, the fire which required two crews to battle left a number of residents out of their homes and is currently under investigation by the Fire Department and the RCMP.

Earlier last week, the Fire/Rescue Department tackled a fire at Coastal Propane on George Hills Way the late evening fire of January 22nd, saw damage to four moving trucks parked at the lot across from Canadian Fish.

The Coastal Propane fire has been deemed suspicious and is also under investigation by the Fire Department and RCMP.
