29th edition of Children's Festival to launch tomorrow at Jim Ciccone Civic Centre
The loudest, but sure to be the most fun filled place in town tomorrow is going to be the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre!
That as the Prince Rupert Special Events Society plays host once again to the annual Prince Rupert Children's Festival, tomorrows celebration marking the 29th edition of the popular March event.
Among the many activities lined up for North Coast Youngsters will be the ever popular Bouncy Castle, the Rock Wall Climb, face painting along with a wide range of games and treats available at the concession.
Entertainment will make some of the day as well, with Heath and Tarlin presenting their show Spin Cycle.
The Free event (which gladly accepts donations) gets underway at 11 AM and continues on to 4PM
You can learn more about the event from the Facebook page that they have created for Saturday's showcase of fun.
If you have some spare time, Special Events could also use some spare hands to help out with Set Up on Friday, as well as during the event and for takedown.
Once they have put edition Number 29 to bed for the year, the Special Events Society will turn its attention to their upcoming Annual General Meeting.
With that gathering set for Tuesday, March 10th from 7-9 PM, the meeting will take place in the Breakfast Room on the ground floor of the Prestige Hotel on Sixth Street at 2nd Avenue West.
Members will receive updates on the remainder of the Special events schedule for the year, as well as the latest notes on their relocation out of the City Hall building.
The Society was forced out of their long time home in the downtown area as the City required the space for civic administration purposes.
In January, the City of Prince Rupert announced that the Special Events Society would be shifting its offices to the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre.
