Coast Mountain College Convocation plans deferred, work at home plans for staff
Convocation Ceremonies at the Prince Rupert and Terrace campus locations for Coast Mountain College will be put on hold, with College officials hopeful to re-schedule them later in the year.
That is one of a number of new measures in place at all campus locations for the college that serves Northwestern British Columbia.
In their March 18th information release, College officials also reminded students that all classes are suspended this week, while instructors continue to make plans for distributed learning models, with that option to be introduced on Monday, March 23.
The College has also reminded its staff members of the option to move to an online or tele-meeting work setting, to replace face to face meetings.
With the Province of British Columbia announcing its measures for Education from K-12 yesterday, Coast Mountain College is working with the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training to better understand the implications of those moves, they will advise incoming students and parents as more details on those programs move forward.
