New measures for members at Northern Savings Credit Union
Yesterday marked the first day of a new way of delivering services for members of Northern Savings Credit Union, with the Prince Rupert based financial institution outlining the steps that they are taking in their response to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
In a notice to their website as well as through a Facebook post from last Friday, Northern Savings noted that as of March 23rd the following is now in effect.
Out of abundance of caution, and to keep our employees and members safe, effective Monday, March 23 we will be changing the way we deliver our services and will be restricting member access to appointments only.
Appointments must be made by phone or email and will be available where it is not possible to complete the transaction through other channels.
While access to our physical premises is unavailable until further notice, our team is still accessible during our regular office hours to support you. You can conduct your financial and insurance transactions by calling us or emailing us at info@northsave.com.
Additionally, members can continue to use our ATMs, night depositories, online banking, and mobile app available for iOS and Android.
The Full statement from Northern Savings can be found here.
Northern Savings has also outlined some of the assistance that they are prepared to offer to their members during the COVID-19 situation, with deferral programs, postponement of service fees and reductions in lending rates. More on those measures can be reviewed here.
More notes on the city's commercial sector can be found from our archive page here.
