Tourism Prince Rupert to offer updates on travel, support for those who rely on the travel industry in region

Tourism Prince Rupert has outlined some of its approach to issues related to the COVID-19 situation and its impact on residents and the tourism industry in the city.

There is no doubt that we will see impacts on Prince Rupert’s tourism economy in the coming months as people practice social distancing and eliminate all non-essential travel. This will surely impact many small businesses in Prince Rupert who rely on tourism in the summer months for their bottom line.

Towards support during this period, they will be providing for email updates that will provide the latest notes that they have on travel advisories, support programs and any federal or provincial announcements of importance to the industry.

The physical office for the Prince Rupert Visitor Centre which is a shared space with the Port of Prince Rupert Interpretive Centre was closed earlier this week.

You can however, contact them through email and phone options info@visitprincerupert.com or at 250-624-5637

You can gain access to the notes and list of links by signing up for email alerts here.
