Tourism Prince Rupert launches new website to support local tourism sector and businesses
While they don't want to see anyone, any time soon ... the day will come when some semblance of normal times will return and the North Coast will once again welcome visitors from near and far to the community.
Tourism Prince Rupert today has launched a new website, designed to support their mandate & ongoing efforts to grow the local tourism sector by working directly with tourism businesses, other community and regional tourism organizations, and the provincial tourism office.
The new website has been designed to be the hub for information and resources for the community and Tourism Prince Rupert's stakeholders.
"Tourism Prince Rupert is dedicated to not only marketing Prince Rupert & attracting new visitors every year, but also to supporting our local tourism economy & helping itgrow. With the launch of this new website, we will be able to provide more information, resources, and support to our corporate stakeholders, who range all the way from small businesses to regional and provincial tourism marketing offices."- Ceilidh Marlow, Executive Director, Tourism Prince Rupert
The information portal will feature background information on the work of Tourism Prince Rupert, provide for a resource material for the tourism sector in the region, as well as to market the Prince Rupert area to a global world.
The new visual tour offers up some stunning photos of the entire North Coast region, itineraries for those looking for sights to see and things to do, as well as a range of other information to make for an unforgettable experience, when such experiences will once again be allowed.
You can take the new website out for a test drive here.
For the current period of our COVID response, Tourism Prince Rupert has also provided for some valuable information related to travel and community resources available during these unusual times.
In their information release to announce the new website, Tourism Prince Rupert outlined how they are providing for resources and support during this period of time.
With the ongoing effects of COVID-19 being felt by every business in Prince Rupert andthe 2020 tourism season still uncertain, Tourism Prince Rupert is dedicated to providing support, resources, and information to help our local tourism businesses weather the storm.
We are also advocating for tourism-specific relief, along with our regional partners at Northern BC Tourism and down the Highway 16 corridor. We will continue to provide updates and information via our email newsletter as it is made available, and our new industry website will become the hub for all information, resources, and announcements from Tourism Prince Rupert going forward
