A seismically active offshore area west of Vancouver Island rumbled a bit more on Friday evening, with a
5.2 magnitude earthquake recorded just south of Queen Charlotte Sound.
The lates of the quakes in the same are struck at 7:14 PM on Friday, located 151 kilometres West of Port Hardy it had a depth of 10 km.
It was later downgraded to a 4.9 mg event.
There was
no tsunami generated by the Friday evening event.
On May 9th a similar sized quake was recorded south of Friday's event.
