Golfers teeing it up at Prince Rupert Golf Course
The more relaxed times of the pandemic have brought more and more golfers out to the Prince Rupert Golf Club, with the first of the Men's Days officially in the books on Wednesday.
The course which was closed to the public in late March had a quiet reopening in May, with new protocols in place for members to follow in response to the COVID pandemic and the recommendations of the Public Health Officer Doctor Bonnie Henry.
Wednesday's day of golfing brought up a number of familiar names and some newcomers to the local golf scene as the competitive streak among the local golfers got into full swing.
Tyler Stene Head Professional and Manager of the Prince Rupert Golf Course provided for a review of the Wednesday event which brought ninety golfers to the links for the first Men's Day of the year.

With the 2020 season now underway, Prince Rupert golfers can anticipate a full season of poplar tournaments and events, including the Ladies Jubilee, Men's Jubilee, His and Hers Tournament and Vic Marion Seniors Tournament to name a few.
You can keep up to date on events at the 9th Avenue Course through the Prince Rupert Golf Course Facebook page.
As we have followed through the Spring, the golf courses of the Northwest have all reopened for use and as the weather improves they are reporting strong participation as residents of the region take to the outdoors.
