Wolf sightings continue for Port Edward
The rise in wolf activity in the Port Edward area continues, with the District making note of three sightings last Friday, sharing word of the encounters through their Facebook page.
As part of their information campaign, the District reminds residents of the need to call in any sightings to the BC Conservation Service Office at 1-877-952-7277.
The District has been the hot spot for such incidents this year, with one encounter sending a Port Edward elder to hospital in Vancouver for treatment.
Conservation Service Officers have come to the North Coast from their Terrace offices a number of times in May and June to address the reports and seek out the roaming wolves, having killed one pervious, though a further study determined that it was not the wolf responsible for the attack on the Port Edward resident.
