BC Hydro workers in the region will be working on some maintenance issues this week and as a result residents of a number of area communities will be without power for periods of time during the work.
An update on the BC Hydro Website outlines the scope of the work ahead.
The work today takes place from 11 AM and 3 PM which will see one 15 minute outage to take place during that period of time for Kitkatla, Oona River, Port Edward, Ridley Island area and Tyee.
A similar second outage will take place for the same areas in the same period of time on February 18th.
In an unrelated project, BC Hydro also notes that those in the 100 block of Sixth West will also have interruptions staring on February 17th as they conduct planned work on their equipment in the area.
