Central Mountain Air is adding to the volume of flights it offers to the Northwest with three times a week service coming to the Smithers airport |
As the busy holiday season approaches, a provincial airline is set to add to its service to the northwest, with Central Mountain Air announcing the return of scheduled flight service to the Bulkley Valley, with CMA set to return to operations at Smithers airport in early November.
Central Mountain Air is a Smithers based airline which provides air service to a number of British Columbia and Alberta communities, they reduced their schedule out of Smithers owing to COVID.
The relaunch will see Dash 8 aircraft serving the Smithers market three times a week with a morning departure from Vancouver and a flight out of Smithers in the afternoon.
“We are extremely excited to be once again resuming service from Vancouver to our home base of Smithers. With the upcoming holiday season and travelers planning to visit family and friends, this re-launch is a positive step towards Central Mountain’s Air commitment to our passengers, employees, and the connectivity we offer throughout the province of British Columbia.” -- Trevor Wakefield, Chief Operating Officer at Central Mountain Air.
