Skaters from across Northern British Columbia will be on the road this week with a destination of the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre Area in their GPS.
That as over 70 competitors from the Northwest and beyond prepare to take part in the Kia How Ya Skating Competition.
Skaters take to the ice Starting Friday afternoon in a number of events, among some of the elements of the three day competition will be Solo, Showcase, Artistic and Dance.
The local Club has been preparing for the event for months, with the Kla How Ya competition making its return to Prince Rupert after a number of years absence.
The local skaters have been on the ice since September to work on their program and are ready to showcase their talent with Friday's opening, the event wraps up on Sunday.
The featured times on the ice look as follows:
Friday. Dec. 2, 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m
Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Admission to the three days of skating is Free
