There's a strong Prince Rupert presence as part of the recently announced Northern BC tourism Board appointments, with some familiar names in the community taking up their posts among the Board of Directors.
Recently appointed to their positions are:
Ceilidh Marlow from Tourism Prince Rupert as a Director
Blair Mirau, from Gitmaxmak'ay Nisga'a Societ aČ™ a Director at Large
Jared Davis, from Prince Rupert Adventure Tours as Treasurer
Rounding out the Northwest representation are Gladys Atrill the Mayor of Smithers and a Past Chair, along with Blaine Estby from the Smithers Brewing Company who is serving as Chair of the Board for the year ahead.

Northern BC Tourism, which is based in Prince George, offers a range of programs to provide benefits to local business and communities, you can review some of their work here.
The organization is one of six regional destination management organization in the province and works with Destination BC to develop long term strategic direction for destination tourism. They also work with Indigenous Tourism BC to advance Indigenous Tourism in Northern BC.
