The ball starts to bounce early in the day and on some days into the evening as well, that as head coach Ryan Bishop puts his 2022-23 Charles Hays Rainmakers through their paces in anticipation of the High School Hoops season just ahead.
The coach, along with his assistant Ben Mark have another talented roster to take into the season ahead.
The Senior Boy's featuring 3 returning Grade 12s from last year, as well as 4 seniors coming back from injury, or having taken a year off.
As well the team features 8, Grade 11 members looking to make their mark on the basketball court at CHSS on Prince Rupert Boulevard.
The Roster one with some good depth and one with a strong mix of veteran players and some new to to the Senior lineup.
The practice regimen of the last few months, will soon give way to some game time action as well.
The Rainmakers head off to Terrace next weekend for some early competitive play against Nisga'a and Caledonia on December 3rd.
Following the regional play, the team makes its first long distance trip for the year, the Rainmakers head for the Lower Mainland for the No regrets tournament in Vancouver.
The first will play the Number 6 ranked AA team Collingwood Cavaliers in a pre tournament match up.
They open the No Regrets Tourney on December 8th at Carson Graham Secondary School, taking on the Number 1 AA ranked team in Saint Thomas Aquinas.

While the Senior Boys make their plans to launch their 2022-23 season a familiar name of Rainmaker champions past is still keeping a hand in the game.
Ryan noted for the North Coast Review that his Dad, Mel Bishop the long time coach of the Senior Boys program at both PRSS and CHSS is now keeping an eye at the other end of the basketball spectrum.
The Rainmaker and High School basketball legend lending a hand to the SD52 Grade Eight program from time to time.
The Full 2022-23 Schedule for the Senior Boys has yet to be released, once it is, we'll share the notes so Rainmaker fans can make their plans to fill up the CHSS Gym on Game night to follow the Maker's as they start the path towards what hoops fans hope will be another Provincials berth in March.
