Port Edward reviews a busy year, with welcome for new senior staffer to come in January


The final update for the year from the District of Port Edward for residents recounts some of the progress seen on community infrastructure with work on Sunset and Oceanview Drive about to come to an end.

As well Acting Mayor Colleen McDonald notes of the recent agreements with the City of Prince Rupert on the Watson Island Water supply and Fire Mutual Aid and plans for the Port Ed Store and Post Office.

The year end review from the District shares some notes towards the planning for the waterfront park project for the District, that initiative now in the concept planning stages with the District looking at an application to the PRPA towards their vision.

The topic of wolves also makes for a conversation piece in the December update, as well as some thanks to their interim CAO Elsie Lemke, who once again stepped up for the District to guiding them from the departure of former CAO Rob Grodeski to the incoming senior official, Todd Francis, set to start on the job in January.



The December update also features a look at some of the work of Port Edward Council in November, reminders for residents from Public Works and a review of the District's Holiday closures.
