NWCC to use Executive Search Firm in quest for New President
The Board of Governors of Northwest Community College have turned to Vancouver based Executive Search Firm Boyden, as part of their search to find the next President of the Community College with campus locations across the region.
In a press release from Thursday, NWCC and Boyden outlined the scope of their search for a replacement for Dr. Denise Henning who recently departed from the main campus at Terrace, taking up similar duties at a community college in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
The synoposis of the Job Opportunity at NWCC provides a glimpse into the qualities that Boyden and NWCC will be seeking as they look to move the College ahead in the wake of a number of years of change and Administrative movement at many of the NWCC campus locations in the region.
“An opportunity now exists for a proven academic leader to join NWCC as its new President & CEO,” ... “He or she will provide highly visible leadership throughout the region and to all stakeholders, and will support the Board and its mandate on all levels." - Kathryn Young, Partner at Boyden Global Executive Search.
Among some of the key considerations for applicants:
An ability to provide highly visible leadership throughout the region and to all stakeholders, supporting the Board and its mandate on all levels.
A visionary leader, highly effective at bringing people together to focus on the vision and strategy of an organization.
Truly a champion for higher and First Nations education.
Effective at building partnerships with other post-secondary institutions and community organizations.
