Prince Rupert will remember those who served the nation with Remembrance Day ceremonies at the Court House starting at 11 AM on Friday morning |
The Northwest will pause and remember tomorrow, taking time at the eleventh hour of Friday morning to pay respect to those who fought in armed conflict through the last century and salute those that continue to serve today.
As it does every year, the Prince Rupert ceremony will take place at the Prince Rupert Court House Cenotaph, with the parade to the Court House arriving just before the 11 o'clock hour, followed by the service and laying of wreaths by community members.
Showers and windy conditions are in the forecast for Friday's Prince Rupert ceremony, though temperatures will be warm for those taking part or observing the Hour of remembrance, with the high for the day set for 10 degrees.
The Prince Rupert event (as well as the one for Kitimat) will also be featured on CityWest Cable Ten, with programming to be broadcast at 6 PM tomorrow night.
For residents of the Terrace area, the Remembrance Day ceremony will be broadcast live from the Tillicum Twin Theatres.
