Generous Rupertites overflowing coat donation box at Save On Foods
As the temperatures begin to make their dip through November, generous residents of Prince Rupert are helping with an initiative from the city's Save On Foods location on Third Avenue West to provide for winter jackets for those in need.
The staff and management at Save On Foods have partnered with the Kaien Anti Poverty Society collecting winter coats through a giant donation box found at the front of the store.
For those that lend a hand through until December 15th, Save On Foods will be providing 100 Save on Points to those who bring their donation to the store.
It's one of a number of community projects that the store has taken part in this year, most recently they hosted a Stuff the Van promotion, where customers helped the staff and management help to stock some of the shelves at the Salvation Army Food Bank.
Those wishing to provide other household items through the Kaien Anti Poverty Society can stop in at their offices at 571 McKay Street, or contact them by phone at 250-627-KAPS (5277)
