Chamber of Commerce Board notes need for patience as Prince Rupert businesses make for relaunch
As more and more of the city's business sector begins to return to their stores and provide services once again, the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce Board has noted that many are facing changing times and looking for new comfort zones.
With a call for respect and safety, the Chamber also outlines how feedback is welcome, but to leave the negative commentary aside as the local businesses look to find their way back.
Feedback and ideas are welcome, support and appreciation is welcome, negativity and judgement is not. Also, please know that there are many ways we can show our appreciation to our local businesses through the purchase of gift cards, take out, or shopping during their access hours or online.
As they note, recent weeks has seen the launch of the support local initiative, which offers a chance to gain a 25 dollar gift certificate when the make a purchase at participating merchants, the list of which you can review here.
Yesterday we made note of another initiative to work towards the relaunch for business in Prince Rupert and area, with Tourism Prince Rupert, the Chamber and Love Prince Rupert launching the Support Local Sweepstakes, where you can qualify for a 150 dollar gift card when you tag your photos of your favourite business with the #supportlocalpr hashtag as well as those of the three organizations.
As we outlined on Wednesday, the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page has made note of many of its members who have relaunched, you can check out the listings here.
More on the city's commercial sector can be reviewed here.
I can say what a breath of fresh air to see and hear people socializing, laughing, and outright being canadian again. Was at breakers for a pint after work and really sat silent for awile just to take it all in. Social distancing was perfect . Be safe and keep on keeping on.
