There's a new sheet of ice in at the Jim, but whether there will be any minor hockey teams to take to the ice this September is something of a bit of concern for Prince Rupert Minor Hockey.

The PRMHA has outlined the state of the registration program so far which at this point is so low that the season ahead may be in peril. That despite a registration period that launched in June.

The update for Minor hockey families in the community came earlier this week through the PRMHA Facebook Page.

For those looking to register for the season ahead, some links to the various programs and a call for volunteers can be found here.

As the PRMHA notes in their notice, the KidSport Program in Prince Rupert helps to cover off some of the costs of participation in Sport in the region, learn more about that program here.

Updates on the plans for the season ahead (should the number of registrations improve) can be found through the PRMHA Facebook feed.
