A 4.6 magnitude quake was recorded off the Northeast tip of Haida Gwaii on Saturday morning |
A moderate temblor was recorded in the early morning hours of Christmas Even just off the northeast coastline of Haida Gwaii, south of McIntyre Bay.
The Quake was recorded at 1:01 AM, listed at 4.6 magnitude at a depth of 01 kilometres.
The epicentre was 102 kilometres West South West of Prince Rupert
There was no indication of a Tsunami threat listed shortly after the notification of the quake.
A second temblor of 4.0 magnitude was recorded at 1:32AM in much the same area, 93km West South West of Prince Rupert.
