The good news is the burst of Arctic Cold is about to go into retreat, however as it does a moisture laden system is set to arrive on the North Coast by Friday and that transition period could mean some significant snow Friday and Saturday with the snow element tapering off into Sunday.
A Special Weather Statement issued on Wednesday provides the details of what may come our way should there be no shift in the prevailing winds on the way.
Should the Statement shift to a Weather Warning, the Prince Rupert area could see up to 30 cm of snow through Sunday, something which would mean snow shovelling in your future and maybe some sledding for the youngsters and the young at heart.
