When the clock strikes midnight tonight, the power for much of Prince Rupert and surrounding villages will be shut down, that as BC Hydro takes to some extensive maintenance work on their Prince Rupert infrastructure.
Since the weekend, BC Crews have been assembling at the Prince Rupert Boulevard Hydro station, that in anticipation of their work this evening, which should take up much of their six hour window, through to 6AM.
As we noted earlier this month, the advice from BC Hydro for customers who have been contacted by phone or mail is to unplug major appliances and sensitive electronics to protect them from any potential damage.
