NWCC Trades caravan to come to Prince Rupert May 7th

An opportunity for local residents to learn more about the Trade program offerings from Northwest Community College will arrive on Tuesday, May 7th.

Tuesday, the NWCC Trades Caravan will pull into town, setting up shop at Charles Hays Secondary School.

The NWBC Roadshow as it's being called, is run in partnership between Northwest Community College and School District 52,  providing residents with the opportunity to learn more about trades careers and opportunities in the region.

The Tuesday session will run from 4 to 7 PM and features industry professionals, trades presentations and some hands on interactive activities to gain a better understanding of the trades.

As well, participants will get a meal out of the evening's events, with a BBQ offered up at 5 PM.

Those that attend will also be eligible to enter a draw for a chance to win an iPad Mini.

The three hour information session is open to parents, teachers and students of all ages.
