Awards for Repole and Ostrom along with Donation to Salvation Army make for the final chapter for Rampage season

With the Prince Rupert Rampage now looking ahead to the 2019-20 season following their playoff exit of earlier this month, the final bit of important housekeeping took place last week as the Rampage celebrated some awards for their players and also put the focus on some fundraising for the Salvation Army that wrapped up with the end of the hockey season.

When it comes to the Awards, two members of the Rampage were recognized for the success on the year by the General Managers of the five CIHL teams.

On the list were:

Judd Repole -- Top Scorer and League MVP

Tyler Ostrom -- Top Defenceman

Ron German was also recognized for his work on the schedule for this years season

Following the first home game of the playoffs on February 16th, the Prince Rupert Port Authority presented a cheque representing their donation to the Salvation Army, part of the Goals For Giving Hope Campaign.

From the start of the regular season to the final game, the Port donated 100 dollars per goals scored during the regular hockey season, with 2019 a year of some pretty exciting offence that made for the 4,300 dollar Grand total for the season.

The CIHL Championship series got underway on Saturday night as the Quesnel Kangaroos snatched a one game lead in the Best of Three with a 6-2 victory over the Terrace River Kings in Terrace.

The two teams return to the Cariboo for action this weekend, with a Saturday night game set for 8 PM puck drop. If required the two teams return to the ice at the Quesnel Arena on Sunday afternoon.
