Blog Watching: Week ending December 15, 2019
Big celebrations, Big announcements and Birth announcements made for the theme of the week for Prince Rupert.
Making for the most attention of the last seven days a look back at a most spectacular weekend with the Rogers Hometown Hockey weekend spawning a few stories, as did our look at Thursday's Prince Rupert 2030 Vision presentation.
Over on the stork watch, North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice relayed some glad tidings from the Rice homestead with the safe arrival of a new addition to the family for her and partner Andrea Wilmot.
Wrapping up the list of five was our look at a new report from redesign rupert, which explores the challenges and opportunities for the Prince Rupert labour scene.
However, the most read story of the week, put the spotlight on the future, with our notes on the Rupert 2030 visions presentation attracting a large audience.
Many Moving parts and many questions to come for Prince Rupert 2030 vision plan -- Prince Rupert had a glimpse of what could be on Thursday evening, as redesign rupert delivered the Prince Rupert 2030 Vision plan, a ninety page plus document which urban planner Larry Beasely revealed for the Lester Centre audience. redesign rupert labour market study highlights accelerated growth and demand for jobs anticipated for Prince Rupert and the North Coast -- In what was almost a preamble to the Prince Rupert 2030 vision launch of Thursday, redesign rupert released the findings of a study in the Prince Rupert labour market outlining the key areas for attention in the years to come (posted December 9, 2019)
