Consultation on newsletter, plans for release of Trail study among themes from Port Edward
It's been part of the Port Edward scene for many years, but in an era of electronic communication, Facebook, twitter and other forums of communication, is there still a place for the community newsletter and if so what do residents of the community wish to see in it.
The District has introduced the topic through their Facebook page, the newly introduced format for communication that they put in place in the fall of 2019.
The addition of social media came along with a redesign for the District's website.
In a Post to their social media page, the District asks Port Edward residents what they would like to see in the newsletter, as well as if the project continues to deliver information that the public is looking for.
A look at some of the newsletters of the past can be examined here.
Port Edward residents can weigh in on the discussion here.
The District has also made note of the ongoing work on a Trails study for the community, advising Port Edward residents that their project will be complete later this year. Part of the focus of the project will be to look at the possibility of extension of current trails, as well as to examine where potential new trails may go.
Residents are offering up some of their own suggestions to the theme through the page, which you can review here.
