After our August break from blogging, we made a mid week return, picking up on some themes that seemed to fly a bit low on the radar locally during our absence.
Yet one more road construction project launched this week, with the Ocean Centre area along Second Avenue West the focus for what will be a new bus pullout by next month.
Some notes on Municipal politics found a welcome reception from our readers, with our notes on a civic property sale in the Park Avenue area, entry of a third contestant for the Mayoralty race and City Council resolution plans for UBCM all finding a large audience this week.
As well, our notes on some investigative work for the Port of Prince Rupert towards some growing interest in the Hydrogen export market also caught the eye of readers.
The top item of the week however takes us downtown and a new Transit initiative for the city.
Work underway on Ocean Centre BC Transit pull out -- The main Transit hub in the city is getting a makeover as the Ocean Centre area is the focus for what will be a new BC Transit pull out by mid September (posted August 17, 2022)

Prince Rupert Council resolution for UBCM puts focus on housing concerns -- As they make their plans for the September expedition to the UBCM convention, Prince Rupert's Council members and Senior staffers are putting forward an initiative towards tax breaks towards generating more affordable housing. Prince Rupert Port Authority explores prospects for Hydrogen Market opportunities -- It's an energy source that has been tapped as the next potential big thing, and to get a sense of what may be ahead the Prince Rupert Port Authority has put out and RFP towards a sturdy for export prospects for the Hydrogen Market through the North Pacific Gateway.
