As Rampage look to extend their hockey season this weekend; the tally from twin fundraising projects grows

The focus for the weekend is hockey for the Prince Rupert Rampage, that as they head to Hazelton for a pivotal Game Two showdown Saturday against Hazelton

A win sends them to a game three, a loss brings their 2023-24 season to a close.

While the players concentrate on the work at hand required for some more playoff hockey for their fans back at the Jim later this month; Off the ice, team officials and volunteers are praising the fundraising assistance from those fans, along with the strong support of the community business and industrial groups.

The success of the annual Goals for Giving Hope campaign saw the Rampage scorers make their mark lending a hand to the Prince Rupert Port Authority as they assist the Salvation Army programs in the community.

This year saw 3,900 dollars delivered to the Salvation Army through Rampage scoring for the 2023-24 season

Over ten years of the Goals For Giving Hope campaign have seen the Port donate $34,800 for every Rampage goal scored over that decade, the funds directed to the various programs offered in the Prince Rupert area.



While Goals For Giving Hope has been a long running program, the more recent Rampage Fights Cancer campaign has once again seen tremendous success.

That  with over 140,000 dollars raised since January and the tally keeps rising.

Money raised through the funding program is destined for the Prince Rupert Hospital to be put towards cancer screening equipment.
