The ice at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre is going to be a busy place this weekend as the Prince Rupert Skating Club hosts the Kal How Ya 2014 Skating Competition.
With skating talent from clubs from as far away as Quesnel and Fort St. John competing with Northwest clubs, including the local skaters of the PRSC.
The weekend event starts on Friday afternoon at 4 PM, with a full day of skating ahead on Saturday from 8 AM to 630 PM.
The skaters take Saturday night off as the Prince Rupert Rampage take to the ice for the first of their two games of the weekend with the Smithers Steelheads.
The Skating Clubs return to their Competition on Sunday morning, with four more hours on the rink from 8 AM to the Noon Hour.
The Kla How Ya is one of the more anticipated events of the Skating season and offers up a glimpse of some of the up and coming skaters of Northern British Columbia, it also provides one of the great bargains for the weekend as admission is free for the full weekend of the competition.
