Your chance to take care of your Library fines and help stock the Food Bank through December

For those Rupertites that have let their Library fines get a little ahead of them, an amnesty of sorts can be found this month, providing you make a contribution to the Library's canned food drive through December.

From now through until January 5th,  Two Dollars will be deducted from your account, for every non-perishable food item that you deliver to the Library's food bank program.

Only library fines will gain you the deduction however,  the opportunity does not apply to any other fees at the library.

Proceeds from the Food for Fines program will be provided to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

Those that return their books promptly without the need for fines from the Library can still participate, dropping off their goods for the Food Bank at the Sixth Avenue Library location.
