Friday Night, the Rampage were in Kitimat, where offence proved elusive with the Rupert squad falling to the home town Ice Demons by a score of 6-4.
The Rampage received their first marker on the night from Cole Atchison on the power play in the first period assisted by Tyler Halliday, while a second period power play goal from Braydon Horcoff, assisted by Tyler Ostrom, put the wrap on Rhino scoring on the night.
The power play opportunities provide a window into the physical nature of Friday night's match up with a particularly boisterous second period finding a number of fighting majors and game misconducts handed out, primarily to members of the Rampage.
Overall however, it was Kitimat that took the largest volume of penalty time on the night, assessed 27 minutes in the box on 13 infractions, while the Rampage served 23 minutes on 11 infractions. The second period nastiness saw the Rampage's Tyler Halliday and Ice Demons Caleb Fossl dispatched from the ice after a major fight.
Shots on the night heavily favoured the Ice Demons who peppered the Rampage goaltender Jarrod Hildebrand with 45 shots on the night, while the Rampage offence directed 29 shots at Brandon Highton in the Kitimat net.

Things were significantly different 24 hours later at the Jim, as a fired up Rampage squad found their range nine times on the night, a pace of scoring that will put a dent in the chequebook of the Prince Rupert Port Authority which sponsors the Rampage Goals for the Salvation Army campaign.
With Saturday night's home ice scoring spree making for a 900 dollar night at rink for the local community service organization.
The Rampage picked up two goals in the first period with Josh Cook scoring at 8:49 assisted by Jared Meers and Kory Movald, line minutes later Patrick Robert put the Rampage up 2-1 with an unassisted goal heading into the first period intermission.
Period two was a most dominant affair by the hometown team with Tyler Halliday picking up the first goal of the second frame at 6:51, assisted by Brayden Horcoff and Derek Baker. A minute and a half later it was Devin Palmer with the marker assisted by Mike Coolin, followed less than sixty seconds later by an unassisted goal from Craig Munro.
Josh Cook picked up his second goal of the night at the 9:24 mark, power play marker assisted by Kory Movald and Tyler Ostrom. Three and half minutes later it was Craig Munro again, in on his own for a goal, while Devin Palmer grabbed his second goal of the night at 18:28 assisted by Thomas Robinson and Tyler Ostrom.
The flurry of second period goals would put the Rampage into an 8-3 lead heading into the final twenty minutes of the evening. The Ice Demons would grab one back at 5:38, however the Rampage quickly answered that one a minute later with the final goal of the night, a power play marker from Cole Aitchison, assisted by Jamie Schenkveld and Derek Baker.
As is the case when scores tend to range that high, the evening was a physical and penalty filled affair, with the Ice Demons serving 53 minutes of penalty time on 13 infractions, while the Rampage were assessed 45 minutes based on 14 infractions.
Misconducts, Unsportsmanlike conduct and fighting penalties accounted for a good portion of the work for the official scorer on the night.

Prince Rupert carries a one point lead over Smithers and Kitimat in the CIHL west into weekend action, with the struggling Terrace River Kings in town Saturday night to try and make things difficult for the Rampage.
