Six North Coast residents have found success when it comes to pitching their business proposals as part of the 2016 Thrive North Business Challenge, making the cut to go on to the finals after preliminary competition in March.
The Rupert contingent impressed the judges panel with their plans and business acumen during the two days of a Thrive North event held in both Terrace and Prince Rupert from March 19 and 20.
Hanna Bryant, David Tan, Jordan Leask, Andrea Pollock, Jayson Hakki and Tyler Meers will all be heading to Terrace in May for the final steps of this years Challenge, competing for up to 10,000 dollars to support their business concepts.
The Prince Rupert Six were selected to move forward in three categories of Best New Business, Best New Social Enterprise and Best Growth Opportunity.

The successful candidates now have a little over a month to refine their pitches and strengthen any part of their presentation that they might have concerns about before they take to the road to Terrace.
The Finals take place May 7th with the Business pitches to take place between 2:30 and 5:30 PM, a marketplace event runs from 5:30 to 6:30 PM while the Awards Ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 in Terrace.
