Rupert Runners gearing up for first major runs of the year

The local running club Prince Rupert Runners is putting the final touches on the planning for this years first Major running events of the year with Sunday set for three categories to choose from to kick start your spring and summer running season.

Highway 16 marks the route for
this Sunday's start to the
Rupert Runners season

Local running enthusiasts can take part in the Half Marathon Route which takes you out and back along Highway 16 turning around at the Galloway Rapids Rest Area, start time for the Half Marathon is 1PM

The Two Person Relay follows the same route, with the switch to take place at the Galloway Rapids Rest Area, the start time for the Two Person Relay is 1PM

The 8 Kilometre route runs along Highway 16 and Walkers are invited to take part in that option, participants head out at 2 PM.

All of the routes start from the Lester Centre of the Arts.

Pre-Registration the Sunday event is available on Saturday at Civic Centre from 10 to Noon, on Race Day you can register at the Lester Centre from 10 to Noon.
