Third Avenue storefronts to become outdoor Art Gallery through July and August

The walk along Third Avenue through the downtown area will soon be featuring the works of local artists as the Third Avenue Art Project launches this weekend, showcasing what is going to be on view through the months of July and August.

Touted as B.C.'s longest art gallery, the storefronts of the city's main shopping district will feature a range of art projects for your review over the next two months.

The Celebration of local arts and artists will take place at the City Hall Fountain Plaza this Saturday at 7 PM and will bring together a number of organizations to showcase the creative works of the community.

The project is a collaborative effort involving the Ice House Gallery, TRICORP, the Community Development Institute at the University of Northern British Columbia and 3rd Avenue Businesses.

Of course, the project wouldn't happen at all, without the talents of the many local artists from the area that are participating.
