Port of Prince Rupert extends deadline for comment on Ridley Logistics Park Plans

Your chance to review and comment on one of the next big Port project has been extended a by a couple of weeks, with the Port of Prince Rupert announcing that they will be receiving your thoughts on their plans for the Ridley Island Export Logistics Platform project until the end of this month.

As we outlined earlier this month, the expansive plans towards adding to the Port's footprint on Ridley Island would see additional infrastructure and warehousing facilities created on the southern reaches of Ridley, with the Logistics facility to be fully integrated with the current container shipment infrastructure in the region.

During it's construction phase it would generate employment for an estimated workforce of 250 workers, once the work gets underway, the Port has set a target date of the fourth quarter for 2022 for the new facility to go into operation.

The Ports overview of the project can be examined here, to participate in the comment period, you an address your views to the Port at projects@rupertport.com
