A nasty wind is going to blow overnight, with Environment Canada issuing a WIND WARNING for North Coast - Coastal regions on Saturday afternoon, the warnings.
An intense Pacific Weather System is on its way tonight, with Southeast winds developing eventually reaching 100 km/h for the North Coast and Haida Gwaii by early Sunday morning. The winds will shift to the SW by Sunday evening easing to 50 km/h with occasional gusts of up to 70 km/h.

Along with the wind will come some rain with the Sunday forecast, with Environment Canada issuing a RAINFALL WARNING in the early hours of Sunday calling for up to 100 mm through the day and into Sunday night and on into Monday.

The Pacific system also makes for Marine Weather Warnings, with Storm warnings issued for areas off Haida Gwaii and the North and Central Coasts.
Winds are light at the moment but will increase to southeast 15 to 25 knots this evening and to southeast 35 to 45 after midnight. Wind increasing to southeast 50 to 60 early Sunday morning then diminishing to southwest 25 to 35 Sunday afternoon. Wind diminishing to southwest 20 Sunday evening. Seas 1 metre building to 2 to 3 after midnight and to 3 to 5 early Sunday morning. Seas subsiding to 2 to 3 Sunday afternoon.
