A potential 4500 visitors could come ashore Friday as Fall port calls bring cruise season closer to an end

The Northland Terminal and walkways of Atlin Terminal and
CowBay will be the place for people watching Friday as
two large cruise vessels call on Prince Rupert

The 2022 Cruise season in Prince Rupert is going to wind down with what could be a record setting day for the Northland Cruise Terminal on the waterfront.

Two vessels are set to arrive in Prince Rupert Harbour in the morning with the Grand Princess & Nieuw Amsterdam to deliver the guests. 

The Holland America vessel Nieuw Amsterdam has accommodations for 2,106 passengers and brings a crew of 874. The vessel will be at anchorage just off of the Cow Bay dock area and passengers will be delivered to Northland by motor launches.

The Princess line Vessel Grand Princess, with 2,600 potential passengers and a crew of 1,150 will pull up to the Northland Terminal dock also at 7AM.

The twin vessel visit will make for a busy day for cruise ambassadors, tour providers and hopefully the city's business and commercial sector as the visitors travel the streets as part of their exploration of the community.

The Prince Rupert Port Authority and the City have both noted of the impact on traffic through the Cow Bay Area and remind motorists to be cautious.

The Nieuw Amsterdam will depart at 4 PM, the Grand Princess at 6PM
