The 6th Avenue & 2nd Avenue Bridges are two items that the city hopes to receive grant funding for infrastructure requirements |
Mr. Pucci's report will highlight the opportunities for the city from the Building Canada Fund and the Gas Tax General Strategic Priorities Fund, which provide funding for a number of infrastructure initiatives across Canada.
At tonight's City Council session, Council members will receive the recommendation to pass a resolution to seek out the grant applications for the following infrastructure issues.
Raw Water Supply Project (grant from the Building Canada Fund)
Raw Water Supply Project (grant funding from the Gas Tax General Strategic Priorities Fund)
Asset Management Phase 1 (grant funding from the Gas Tax General Strategic Priorities Fund)
Landfill Development Project (grant from the Building Canada Fund)
6th Avenue Bridge Replacement project (grant from the Building Canada Fund)
2nd Avenue Bridge Replacement project (grant from the Building Canada Fund)
Should the City find success in their applications, it would deliver a reduced cost to the taxpayers as work moves forward on some of the larger infrastructure concerns that Council is facing this year.
You can review the full report from tonight's Agenda on pages 12 and 13.
