Some familiar names and a few new ones can be found on the Board of Directors for the Prince Rupert and District Chamber of Commerce, as the regions business community elected the new roster of those that will help chart the organizations future for the year ahead.
The election which took place during the Chamber luncheon on Wednesday delivered twelve directors, as well as a President and Vice President for 2016-17.
Prince Rupert Realtor Keith Lambourne was elected to the President's post, while Herb Pond was elected as the organizations Vice President, Mr. Pond, the former Mayor of the city, currently represents the LNG company BG Canada in Prince Rupert and is widely recognized for his many years of service the community.

During the course of the Wednesday luncheon the Chamber also recognized the achievements of those taking part in the Chamber's Rising Stars program, noting the graduation of 10 students from this years group.

The popular mentorship program hosted by the Chamber is supported by TD Bank, Northern Savings Credit Union, BG Canada, Prince Rupert Port Authority, Ridley Terminals, Royal Lepage, Pacific NorthWest LNG, DP World Prince Rupert and Stuck on Designs.
