A celebration of literacy on the North Coast is set for Saturday at the Rupert Square Shopping Centre as North Coast Literacy Now hosts a three and a half hour event featuring a number of activities to further the goal of more awareness of literacy needs and achievements in the region.
The event takes place Saturday from 11 AM to 2:30 PM and features a number of displays set up at the Rupert Square for those in attendance to take in
There is also some special entertainment lined up for Saturday's event with performances from the PRMS Cultural Drummers who will perform at 11:15 AM and the Lion Dancers at 1 PM.
There will also be a number of activities for participants to enjoy as well as refreshments and door prizes.
This marks the Seventh year that North Coast Literacy Now project has hosted an event, with a number of local groups providing the support to make it the successful adventure that it has become.
This year the Prince Rupert Rotary Club, Success by Six Program and Early Years Group Children's program have provided assistance towards this years event, as well a large number of community groups and businesses have helped out in providing for the door prizes for Saturday.
